How to Apply
Applications for each academic year will be available through the USC Black Alumni Association Scholarship application portal below in the upcoming year.

Who is eligible to apply?
- Current or incoming USC Leventhal students; or a current Marshall student committed to an accounting degree or finance concentration
- Demonstrated strong academic performance (maintain GPA above 3.0)
- Low-income background
- Positive consideration may be given in the selection process to Undergraduate & Graduate students who advocate for and/or promote the African-American community.
What kind of scholarship will I get?
The Inaugural Simmonds Scholars will receive $3,000 to be used towards tuition or other costs of attendance.
What kind of mentorship is available?
Students are matched with mentors in their fields of interest to support them along their academic and profesional journey. Students will be connected with accomplished USC Marshall and Leventhal alumni.
Will you help me get an internship?
Scholars are matched with internships with identified firms and organizations to enhance and encourage long-term professional development through strong partnerships with organizations such as Inroads. Students will have the opportunity to intern at leading accounting and finance firms.
